Holy Trinity National School is a co educational school under the patronage of the Church of Ireland. We are situated in the heart of beautiful Westport. Our pupils are valued and respected and experience a sense of caring and belonging. We welcome children from all faiths and none.
Our school is known to be one of the oldest national schools in Connaught and became part of the National School system in 1831. The school is based in what is known locally as "The Lecture Hall". The building was first used as a fever hospital and church. Holy Trinity National School was amalgamated with Knappagh National School in 1963 and with Christ Church National School, Castlebar in January 1969.
Developing an appreciation by pupils of Ireland's culture, traditions and language is an integral part of the school's educational activities.
