Bricks for Hope - Holy Trinity NS

All pupils decorated a brick as part of the Bricks 4 Hope project, Chernobyl Children's Project. Children donated money towards building a home for children in Chernobyl.

          Chernobyl bricks for life
On Friday the 1st of May we had a special assembly in aid of Chernobyl Bricks for Life Charity. Over the past few weeks we have been making bricks to build a house of hope behind Lallys Pharmacy. The bricks represent a foster  home in Chernobyl which will have ten children to a mother and father. Each child had to pay a contribution of two euro towards the home and with all the children in our school together we raised €120. At our assembly we gave the money to two representatives from the charity. Most of the children in Westport are making bricks to raise enough to build a foster home in Chernobyl. On Saturday 2nd of May there was a workshop in the leisure centre for adults and children.
