You might have noticed unusual concrete boxes attached to the school building and have heard unusual bird song at the entrance gate. This is a project lead by Lynda Huxley from GMIT. We hope to attract swifts to nest and we will be able to watch the birds on a live TV monitor. Unfortunately it will take a year or more for them to find our nest boxes but it will be very exciting when they arrive.
We are currently updating our Music policy. Please see draft copies in entrance hall. If you would like to make comment or input please make submissions in writing to school by Friday 11th May.
Please check your child`s schoolbag and pencil case. Please ensure your child has all equipment he/she needs for school. Please replenish pens, pencils, pritt stick etc if necessary. Please ensure your child has a raincoat, as if it rains during breaktimes we will endeavour to get outside.
We don`t give a huge amount of homework, but what is given should be done well. Please don`t neglect reading, tables and spellings. Remember to sign journals and reading cards to show that all homework has been done. This embeds good study skills for future years.
Each room will go on an outing. More details to follow
